Hosting Craziness

Although I host my blog with Textdrive now, I have quite a few other domains still over at Dreamhost. Since I’ve been using Dreamhost the only problem I’ve ever come across was Typo, other than that everything else has ran very well. So … I hate to make a plug for a company but I just recieved an email the other day detailing changes to their hosting plans. Here is a summary:
Unlimited Domains Hosted, Diskspace Doubled, Unlimited Mysql Databases, Ruby On Rails
And to top it all off they are having a 80% off sale at the moment.

So dude I moved. I was thinking of text drive, and their life hosting, but then this deal was here and couldn't resist. And man talk about cheap! 86€ man!! I took the crazy deal for 2 years (talk about a lot of space and everything) and then it came to a total of 190$US. Then found that there is a promotion code on their blog DEAL90 which knocks off 90$. so was 100$ not bad eh!

Pretty damn good deal. Dreamhost always has a bunch of promo codes floating around. When I got my account I got quite a good deal as well. I got the Code Monster package for the price of the Sweet Dreams package for as long as I host with them. That's $20 savings a month, $480 savings over two years. Mind you I could have went with the Crazy Domain Insane package as well as I'm never going to use all the space that they give me on my package. I went with it so that I could get more domains hosted and now they let you have unlimited on all plans.

Hi Kishore, The problem that I had with Typo on Dreamhost was that it ran so slowly that it caused the server to timeout. They _might_ have fixed this problem since, but at the time it was a real annoyance. There were times that I couldn't even log in.

dude blog is still down, for some odd reason mysql is not working, even with the one button installer, its been a week and I can't blog ahhhh!! LOL should be okay once i get the kinks out I will have 5GB space, and unlimited domains. see how it goes eh. later
